How is this different from buying peptides online?

Many peptides sold online are labelled "research use only". MOTS-C is only prescribed after an assessment with a Prime Point Health clinician, before it's prepared by a US-based licensed 503A pharmacy.

How does MOTS-c work?

MOTS-c is being studied for its potential role in improving how the body uses energy, regulating blood sugar, and supporting physical endurance. Early laboratory and animal research suggests it may help muscles use energy more efficiently and adapt to exercise, although these benefits have not been established in humans.

Questions we hear every day

What is MOTS-c?

Encoded by mitochondrial DNA, MOTS-c is a 16-amino-acid peptide that acts as a messenger, helping cells switch on protective genes when glucose is scarce.

Who can benefit from MOTS-C?

Researchers have yet to establish who benefits from MOTS-C injections for blood sugar control or endurance. In mice with insulin resistance, MOTS-C helped muscles take up glucose in response to insulin. A cycling study in 10 young men found that exercise raised levels of their own naturally occurring MOTS-C. It did not test injections.

Is peptide therapy personalized?

Yes. Prime Point Health does not use a one-size-fits-all approach. Your plan is based on your health goals, intake information, provider review, and long-term wellness priorities.

What does a provider review before considering peptide therapy?

A provider-led review considers your goals, health history, medications, contraindications, lifestyle, prior labs if available, and questions.

Are prescriptions guaranteed after a consultation?

Eligibility varies, prescriptions are not guaranteed, and results vary. A provider review comes before any peptide therapy is considered.

Do I need lab work before starting?

Lab work may be recommended depending on your goals, medical history, and the peptide therapy being considered. Prime Point Health uses provider review to help determine what is appropriate before treatment begins.
