How is this different from buying peptides online?

Many peptides sold online are labelled "research use only". BPC-157 is only prescribed after an assessment with a Prime Point Health clinician, before it's prepared by a US-based licensed 503A pharmacy.

How does BPC-157 work?

Early research suggests it may influence angiogenesis (the growth of new blood vessels), support soft tissue healing in tendons, ligaments, and muscles, and promote repair of the gastrointestinal lining.

BPC-157

The science behind its potential function.
Treatment in people are still being studied.

What it is
BPC-157 is a 15-amino-acid peptide based on a protein found in human gastric juice. It is a synthetic version of a small segment of BPC (Body Protection Compound), a larger protein naturally present in the stomach.
Blood vessel growth
Angiogenesis is the formation of new blood vessels. Researchers have examined how this process relates to healing tissue.
Joint and Tendon Health
Preclinical research suggests BPC-157 may support the strength, flexibility, and recovery of connective tissues, including tendons and ligaments.
The digestive tract
Animal studies suggest BPC-157 may reduce inflammation and help protect and repair the lining of the stomach and intestines, but its benefits in people remain unproven.

Questions we hear every day

Who can benefit from BPC-157?

People with knee pain are one group researchers have studied. In a small follow-up study, 11 of 12 people who received BPC-157 alone by injection into the knee reported less pain. Without a comparison group, the researchers could not tell how much relief came from the injection. Lab studies found that BPC-157 helped rat tendon cells move, but whether it helps people recover from tendon injuries remains unknown.

Who is the Prime Point Health BPC-157 program intended for?

The program is intended for adults with a specific injury or musculoskeletal concern affecting pain, movement or everyday function. Your clinician will review your diagnosis, previous treatments and a measurable goal, such as walking, climbing stairs or lifting more comfortably. Whether BPC-157 is prescribed depends on your individual clinical assessment.

Can BPC-157 heal my injury or replace physical therapy?

BPC-157 is being studied for tissue repair, but a healing benefit in humans has not been established. It should not replace physical therapy, appropriate diagnostic testing or other established treatments. Your clinician will consider these options as part of your overall care plan.

How often would I use it?

The current protocol involves injections under the skin on five days each week, followed by two days off. Your clinician will confirm your exact dose and schedule. If you aren’t noticing improvement, the next step is to review your treatment plan. The protocol does not include increasing the dose simply because the response has been limited.

What are the risks?

Human safety data are limited, so the full range of potential side effects and long-term risks is not yet known. Possible concerns include reactions to the peptide or other ingredients, complications from injections and risks associated with compounded medications. Your clinician will review your health history and explain these uncertainties before deciding whether treatment is appropriate. Let your care team know promptly if you develop any new symptoms.

What happens if I miss a dose or do not improve?

If you miss a dose, resume your prescribed schedule without doubling up. Keep to your prescribed dose unless your clinician advises otherwise. If you’re not improving, your clinician will reassess your diagnosis, your progress toward your functional goal and whether the treatment plan needs to change.

Do I need lab work before starting?

Lab work may be recommended depending on your goals, medical history, and the peptide therapy being considered. Prime Point Health uses provider review to help determine what is appropriate before treatment begins. We also offer blood work as an optional add-on with every peptide purchase to help establish a baseline before starting medication.
